SEREDOMES: A CALMING EXPERIENCE
Seredomes are portable, immersive domes designed to help individuals transition from overstimulating environments, like festivals, into a calming, serene space.Our research shows that many, especially neurodivergent people, struggle with overstimulation in crowded settings. Seredomes offer a peaceful retreat in the form of small, low-stimulation domes, providing soothing visuals and sound to help users recharge without feeling completely isolated.
THOUGHTFUL DESIGN
When Kasia and I developed this concept, we combined my expertise in materials with her knowledge of color theory to create a balanced design. The domes are semi-opaque, offering a gentle transition from the outside environment. Inside, kinetic visuals of water-like patterns and soft colored lights create a calming atmosphere, comfortably seating two to three people.Users can choose from soundscapes or muffled ambient noise via noise-canceling headphones to further personalize their experience.
